Propane is commonly used in construction for a variety of work-related tasks, including flame cutting, space heating, heating, or melting materials, and powering internal combustion engines. It is important to understand the hazards of propane in the workplace and to know the procedures and controls necessary to minimize those hazards. Our program covers the specific hazards related to the use of propane in roofing applications. It provides participants with information on how to safely connect, disconnect, and the activation of propane torches and kettles in accordance with Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) requirements. This course provides workers with the basic fall prevention information they require to work safely in areas where they may be exposed to fall hazards. Participants receive the most up-to-date information with hands-on instruction from industry experts and trained adult educators who are experienced in working at heights. Our program covers the specific hazards related to the use of propane in everyday use. For example; forklifts, torches, BBQ’s, heaters, small stoves, and much more applications. It provides participants with information on how to safely connect, disconnect, and the activation of propane equipment in the workplace.  

Our one-day course offers participants the basic understanding of overhead crane operations according to Ministry of Labour guidelines. This course is site specific and an overhead crane must be available for the practical portion. Course Content Overhead Crane Hazards Participants will learn to recognize hazards and apply appropriate controls to ensure safe operation of an overhead crane and safe loading and unloading of material. Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Course Content The Red Cross Responding to Emergencies Check, Call, Care Recovery position Choking – adult Assisting with medications Angina and heart attack Stroke CPR and AED Deadly bleeding Level A content Choking — child and baby CPR Duration: Level A: 4 hours, Level C: 5 hours.

At C&R Safety Training Solutions, our training program is for persons operating any mobile crane with a lifting capacity of 0 to 8 tons including any of the following crane types: articulating (knuckle) boom,  telescoping boom,  radial boom derricks (RBDs), sign erectors, or carry deck industrial-type cranes. Course Content This training program is a combination of on-the-job and classroom training. In order to qualify for this certificate, the operator/trainee must pass the classroom training and written test as well as pass a demonstration of skills such as operating the mobile crane, rigging for safe hoisting, and demonstrating standard hand signals.  

Chainsaw Safety Training provides users with the knowledge and understanding of operating a chainsaw, proper use of personal protective equipment, maintenance and understanding felling, Limbing and bucking procedures. These techniques are based around and follow the Ministry of Labour (MOL) guidelines.
